Set up GuardMobile step by step

Setup

  1. After installation, start the program.
  2. Tap on "Menu" on the bottom right.
  3. Choose "Settings" from the menu.
  4. You see a configuration screen (* see below)
  5. Enter any arbitrary number into field PIN.
    • This number is important! Its like a password for this device. Furthermore, you can set a name for this device. All status messages contain this name.
  6. Now enter up to three client phone numbers.
    • Clients are device/phone numbers, which are allowed to control this device. No other devices (even if PIN is known!) can control this device.
    • Client 1 is important! This phone receives all status messages automatically, e.g. if SIM card changed.
    • Phone number syntax depends on your device. First, please try to enter a phone number without any extra signs (no braces etc.), e.g. +491798765432. If this syntax is wrong, you will see it in the faillog(**). Then you can correct this number.
  7. Tap "Save" on the lower left.
    • All configuration settings are saved encrypted.
  8. Now activate GuardMobile by tapping on "Activate".
  9. GuardMobile is active now. Now you can control/supervise your device using a client phone.
* You cannot change settings in the demoversion. PIN is default 1234 and no client restriction is enabled.
** You can see the faillog on the main screen. If there is for example an unauthorized access, you can see it written in red on the main screen.

Control and supervise your device

There are two possibilites to control/supervice a GuardMobile protected device:

  1. Use the implemented Client control function using any other Windows Mobile phone.
    There is no need to have a registration key at hand! Client control can be used for free without purchasing GuardMobile!
  2. Use SMS system with any other phone.
    To do so, download HandyCard from our website. Here you have all commands and the syntax at hand.
